After I just read this quote I got somewhat emotional, for I know of one place where many women have and still do abuse this. They use it as their negotiation tool for getting their way and most of the time there has been nothing happen to them except their hurt pride for being told they are not as good or great as they percieve themselves.
"Laws had been provided for the welfare of women. The police need not assist those who misuse or abuse the law meant for the protection of women."
This sends out a strong message to most of the men who I knmow have been on the recieving side of many false accusations.
Woman is the better part of man,so it is said, and correctly so. After the day's fight, the man comes home and leans on the woman for support. Is not then, the support stronger than the man. But they now say 'equality' and thus take away the support of man. How can women and men be equal. They are actually one,and the one without the other is nothing. Women's organizations apparently do not recorgnize this, for if they did, they would never see the man and woman as separate entities. They have to combine to be whole, whereas by claiming equality women see themselves as separate from man. This is the whole calamity.
Why then this law only refers that if "Women/girlfriend" etc is beaten up..blah blah..
Mrs. Chaudhary don't want to accept the High Court findings that 98% of total 498a cases files are falses. Then why introducing another law that can be mis-used by a margin? Does she want our Police Dept. and Judicial system busy working on such false cases rather than concentrating on real issues/threat to the nation or society.
Isn't this a division of society on terms of Gender? Indian politicians first tried to break the society using Religion, now Gender next what?????
